9th September 2015 Personality, Passion and Purpose by Ruth Adams

Two articles this week have grabbed my attention

The first was a piece by Richard Branson titled Personality, Passion and Purpose.

My first thought was, who gave him permission to use those words together? These are the titles we’ve used for many years for our ‘Unlocking Personal and Team Success’ days for adults and as one part of our ‘why do I do that?’ course for young people.
Good to know that we’re on the right track!

The other was an article in the New York times – http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/education/edlife/how-to-live-wisely.html?WT.mc_id=2015-KWP-INTL_AUD_DEV&WT.mc_ev=click&ad-keywords=IntlAudDev&kwp_0=32882&_r=1&utm_source=Receive+emails+from+LICC&utm_campaign=d8a29c4486-201508_CwC_A_Good_Call&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4c5e4c21df-d8a29c4486-27653049&mc_cid=d8a29c4486&mc_eid=c5a36745a0 Harvard University has developed a new module for their students entitled, Reflecting on your Life, with sessions which allow students to focus on their values, how they spend their time and what they ultimately want their lives to be about.

If international companies and world famous universities consider it important to consider questions like, ‘Who am I?’, ‘Where am I going?’ and ‘How will I get there?’ it’s worth taking notice.
